Holiday Cheer or Holiday Jeer

Holidays are often one of the most difficult periods for many individuals.  While many around are sharing songs of joy and good cheer, many are facing some of the darkest hours in their lives.

Let us focus on responsible celebrating that allows those who have cause for joy to celebrate accordingly  But, let us remain sensitive to those around us...at work, in our faith centers, in our neighborhoods, and out in the public....sensitive to those who are facing the holidays alone.  For some, it is an anniversary of a loss, and the grief is magnified during the holiday season.

The holidays can be a time for us to look outside of our own lives, and seek to be a friend to someone in need.  May we all experience the magic of the season as we seek to be a friend to all.
